The Sleeper 04:15
Come waste away with me, let's lie beneath the forbidden tree and feast upon everything we see that is unholy. We'll fill our mouths with blood and like the swine let us roll in the filth and the mud and as a dog returns to it's vomit, let us repeat our vile history. All man is like the grass and his beauty like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades, tell me what remains in the end? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest. Come my child, hush my child and lay your weary head upon my chest. And dream of a time before you embraced your wicked deeds. Of your innocence and purity now covered with disease Yes, dream while you still can, hold your peace like a gun, for when you awake child you're going to reap what you have sown. All man is like the grass and his beauty like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades, tell me what remains in the end... The grass withers, the flower fades and only truth remains in the end.

Loaded Gun 04:19
Wisdom's lying dead in the streets. The earth can hear the cries of her blood. There's nothing left to keep us from evil. There's nothing left but misguided love. You know love without Wisdom is like loaded gun, it'll kill you without even knowing it's done wrong, at all. But there will come a day, yes there will come a day of reckoning. Recently I've had thoughts that a man should not utter aloud. I've plotted murder, I've watched your blood spill on my hands and I tell you I'm not proud. If hating a sinner is evil, then to love one is truly divine. If hating your brother is considered sin, then I say, you're no brother of mine. But there will come a day, yes there will come a day of reckoning. There will come a day when peace and love shall reign, and the forgiveness that's buried deep inside of my chest will blossom once again. But today is not that day, no today is not your day. There will come a day... When the blood and the sweat that collect on my brow, from the work of my hands holding steady the plow, will be blotted away with the wrong that I've done and the stars will explode into 10 million suns, while a chorus of angels is heavenly sung, of the darkness destroyed and the victory won. But today is not that day, no today is not your day.

I know this life's consuming and I know you're feeling tired, I know this world has left you with so much to be desired, But when I come back home to Wichita, I'm gonna hold you in my arms all night, Gonna fill the void left you with and everything's gonna be alright. I know that you get lonely and I know that you get cold, You need some loving arms to draw you near and you need a hand to hold, But when I come back home to Wichita, we're gonna sing all our favorite songs, We're gonna dance away our loneliness and all your troubles will be gone. I know you often worry about what the future holds, But don't you worry 'bout tomorrow girl you gotta let it all unfold. If I don't come back home to Wichita, please know that I love you so, And you're the last thing that I'll think about before I finally have to go. If I don't come back home to Wichita, I thank God I could call you my own, And you're the last thing that I'll thing about before I finally have to go. You're the last thing that I'll think about before I finally have to go.

Good Men 03:18
Well people may have told you that they think I'm good and I've always tried to do the things a good man should do, But before you expect me to be your solid ground, you outta know, It's the good men that'll always let you down. It's the good men that'll always let you down. Haven't been around long enough to understand what love is, but when I do the one thing you can be sure of is, That before you expect me to have the love you need, you outta know, With a good man your heart's still gonna bleed, Yeah, even with a good man your heart's still gonna bleed And I can understand if you wanna break down, if you wanna jump ship, if you wanna skip town, But there's something you outta know, There's something you need to know, That I'll be coming right after you.

My Best 03:32
Lover, where have you been? I never thought I'd see you again, but here you are right before my eyes. I searched for you on mountains high in valley's low and by and by I prayed for you to be by my side. Won't you lay my fears to rest? Can you find the good that's buried in this mess? I'm at my best. This is my best. I chased you in the forest dark, where no light can be found beneath the trees. I lost you in the fog one night the darkness overtook my sight and you vanished right before my eyes. Is there forgiveness to be found? Won't you allow these arms to hold you safe and sound? I need you now. Is there forgiveness to be found? Won't you allow these arms to hold you safe and sound? Won't you lay my fears to rest? Can you find the good that's buried in this mess? I'm at my best. This is my best, when I'm with you, I'm at my best.

It Was You 03:25
I found something to keep me entertained. I found something to take away my pain. It was you. It was you. I found someone to give me a new start. I found someone to go and break my heart. It was you. It was you. You found someone to be your new best friend. You found someone, to learn to love again. It was not me. It was not me. It was not me.

It's a peaceful night, though this world is at war and some blame the president, while others the Lord, for our sons and daughters dying in a desert on a distant shore, but when you spend so much time fighting, well you forget just what your fighting for, But it's a peaceful night, while I'm staring at the stars and the only music playing for me is the sound of distant cars, driving each their separate ways, living each their separate lives and though numbered are their days, they'll never stop to realize, That it's a peaceful night, though this world isn't right. The innocent are put to death, while the guilty given life. We're rewarded for our ruthlessness and reprimanded for our truthfulness, but what keeps me from being hopeless is the blessed irony Of this peaceful night, while I'm thanking Jesus Christ, that while everything still falls apart, the darkness can't escape the light and all shall be restored and all things shall be added unto you. And the hungry shall be satisfied, the wicked shall be justified and the unclean shall be sanctified and the Godhead will be glorified. Amen.

Love has made you who you are. Love has carried you this far. Love has given you your name. Love has made us all the same. Love is not for the weak in spirit. Love is not for the faint of heart. Love is what brings us all together. Love is what rips us all apart. Love has given you your breath. Love, a power as strong as death. Love has given you your name. Love has made us all the same. Love's given to the weak in spirit. Love's given to the faint of heart. Love is what brought us all together. Love is what ripped us all apart. Place me as a seal upon your heart, Keep me closer than your bones. Place me as a seal upon your heart, Please don't leave me all alone. Alone.

Don't you go a walkin' through the concrete jungle boy, the devil is a watin' for your weary soul. Don't you lose your sight in the neon lights, they gonna pull you in and make you lose control. Well bless my soul and break my chains. Quench my thirst and ease my pain. I've been runnin' from the devil since the day I was born. Now I find myself runnin' into his arms. Don't you go a walkin' through the concrete jungle boy, the devil, he's a waitin' on you to pay a toll. Don't you lose your sight in the neon lights, for they can be as dark as a man with no soul. Well bless my soul and break my chains. Quench my thirst and ease my pain. I've been runnin' to the devil since the day I was born. Cryin' help me, help me, help me Lord!

Whiskey doesn't mix well with cocaine. If I'm the bottle and you're the powder, could we keep each other sane? I could never hold you, for you'd always blow away and you could not consume me, for you'd dissolve in all my pain. Were I your mistress and you a married man, would our love be silenced or would you ask me for my hand? And could we still find freedom, though the world may see us damned? Well, our times a wastin', for we are each a grain of sand. Were I a carpenter, then would you be my cross? And I would carry you and I'd count the world as loss. But me, I'm not Jesus. No, I could not pay your cost. But I'll carry you to River Jordan and pray we make it safe across. Were I a willow tree, then you would be my roots. And we'd stand firmly planted as we'd drink the morning dew. And our love would flourish, until the axe split us in two. But love there's no strong a death that could keep me 'way from you. No there's no strong a death that could keep me 'way from you.
11.
Until the day break and shadows do flee, I will be watching and waiting for thee. And though you lay me in the cold dust of death, Will you awake me with the warmth of your breath? And though you lay me in the cold dust of death, Will you awake me with the warmth of your breath? Until the day break and shadows do flee, I will be watching and waiting for thee. Until the day break and shadows do flee.

My Lord, my Lord, you've set me free, so do you think you'd be opposed to carrying me, cause I'm feeling 'bout as weak as you are strong. And I'd open up these veins and bleed, if I thought that it would bring me the peace that I need, but I feel that there's much more to life than death. We all fall short and we all fall down, so do we all fall apart or just follow the sound of the still, small voice that's beckoning us to come. We all lose faith and we all lose heart, so now is everything lost or is it only the start of a new day's dawn exposing our eyes to the sun. My Lord, my Lord, you've saved my soul, so is it too much to ask for you to make me whole, cause my love's about as dry as yours is deep. And I'd end my life, to spite my pride, but it still wouldn't cure the death I'm feeling inside. I just hope that there's still hope to find me yet. We all fall short and we all fall down, so do we all fall apart or just follow the sound of the still, small voice that's beckoning us to come. We all lose faith and we all lose heart, so now is everything lost or is it only the start of a new day's dawn exposing our eyes to the sun. In the end, I pray to God we'll all be safe, all be safe.
